This should not come as a shock, but the Santa Clarita real estate inventory is at the lowest point it has been in the past 4 years.

As can be seen by the chart above, where I placed the current housing inventory then the closing figures for residential real estate – 584 is one of the lowest months for real estate inventory in the Santa Clarita Valley cities.

If you look at December of 2016, you will see we were 10 less at 574 units on the Santa Clarita Valley market for sale.

The gist is this. Home Buyers are having a difficult time finding what they want to make offers on. This is due to lacking real estate inventory. Home Sellers are able to call their shot 100% and are mandating multiple offers on the Santa Clarita real estate we are selling for them.

The Buyers are having fierce competition as it relates to the homes they are making offers on and aren’t inhibited with the slightly rising interest rates from where they were back in October of 2016.
